At the faculty of Social and Behavioral Sciences from Utrecht University (The Netherlands, Europe) we have a vacancy for a professor Sociology and Institutions (www.uu.nl/vacancies, Chair 'Sociology and Institutions').
Institutions is one of the four strategic themes of Utrecht University in which the Utrecht University invests massively the upcoming years to establish an interdisciplinary and world-class group of researchers on institutions. The key questions within this large programme are: How do the formal and informal rules of human interaction contribute to the formation of open and sustainable societies? Why do these institutions generate sustainable welfare, equity and justice in some cases, but not in others?
Utrecht University aims to establish seven Designated Chairs within the strategic theme Institutions and invites applications for seven chairs. We are looking for candidates with an outstanding academic track record that want to play a prominent role in this new and exciting interdisciplinary endeavour. On the website www.uu.nl/vacancies you find all details about the program and the position.
International recruitment started from August 17th, 2013. We wish to bring our vacancy to your attention, hoping that you are willing and able to spread the word among relevant peers in your own institute as well as to relevant others in the field world wide.
